About SOTA

The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) at Hanover College is a dynamic student-led organization dedicated to fostering professional development, community service, and social engagement among students pursuing a career in occupational therapy. Our mission is to support our members in their academic journey and professional growth while making a positive impact on the community.

Hanover College Committees

Public Relations

This committee focuses on promoting SOTA events and activities through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and campus announcements. They ensure that our members and the wider community are informed and engaged.

Fundraising and Social Activities

This committee organizes fundraising events to support SOTA initiatives and social activities to foster camaraderie among members. They play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of our organization and enhancing the overall student experience.

Service and Professional Development

This committee is dedicated to organizing service projects that benefit the community and professional development opportunities for our members. They coordinate workshops, guest lectures, and volunteer activities that help members gain valuable skills and experience.

Assists the President, coordinates committee activities, and ensures smooth operations within the organization.

Maintains records of meetings, manages correspondence, and ensures effective communication among members.

Manages the financial affairs of SOTA, including budgeting, accounting, and overseeing fundraising efforts.

Hanover College Donations

We invite alumni, community members, and supporters to contribute to SOTA. Donations directly support our fundraising and social activities, enhancing the resources available for student development and community service projects. Contributions can be directed to the Fundraising and Social Activities Chairperson or Treasurer to be accounted towards the SOTA account.
