Apply to Hanover OTD
Early Admission Pathway
Hanover College offers a unique Early Admission Pathway for highly motivated students, high-school and undergraduates, interested in a career in occupational therapy. This pathway gives qualified students the opportunity to secure a guaranteed seat in Hanover’s accelerated hybrid Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program while completing their bachelor’s degree at Hanover.
By committing early, students can avoid the stress of applying and interviewing at multiple graduate programs, enabling them to concentrate on their undergraduate coursework, engage in a wide range of learning experiences, and plan intentionally for their transition to graduate study. Hanover students may declare their interest in the OTD program as early as their first year and up through their junior year.
Admissions Expectations
- Early admitted students must meet the same admissions criteria and prerequisites as the general applicant pool. To maintain their guaranteed seat, students must:
- Maintain a cumulative and prerequisite GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Earn a grade of C or higher in all prerequisite courses
- Successfully complete an interview
- Submit an official transcript by the end of junior year for provisional confirmation, and a final transcript after completing their bachelor’s degree
Students are strongly encouraged to connect early with the OTD Director of Admissions or Graduate Student Services to receive guidance on prerequisites, the application process, and program expectations.
